The wax deposit causes flow problems in oil poduction and production and transportion. Visocity's of waxy crude oil in presence and absence of sufactants mixture have been measured at wax content between 9-28%, temperature between 45?C and 65?C shear rates ranging from 30 to 300s-1. The behaviors of waxy crude oil before, during and after an application of shear force have been studied. The results of this study reveal that the viscoity of the waxy cude oil decreases as the temperature increases. The results also indicated that the rheological behaviour of waxy crude oil at low concentration of wax and disperstants. In additions

A new combustion route for the synthesis of nanosized y-Fe2O3 through a self propagating combustion synthesis-using poly (ethylene glycol) as a fuel is repoted. The precursor, ferrous citrate is employed is the synthesis of Nanosized g-Fe2O3. The structure, morphology and bonding of as synthesized y-Fe2O3 sample are characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron micrograph (SEM) are infrared (IR) techniques respectively.

An aqueous salt composition belt and method for immersion plating gave increased deposition rates and thicker coatings of better adhesion. It was accomplished by incoportaing into immersion plating tin bath of SnCl2, 2H2O in the amount of 23g per litre and cyanide ion complexing agent for the copper, such as NaCN in the amount of 19.6 g per litre. The bath solution containts NaHCO3 as an agent for adusting the pH in ghe resulting bath in the amount of 10g per litre.

Cooridnation polymers containing a novel bis(oxine) bidentate ligand namely N,N' -di(8-hydroxyquinolinoly 1-5) -N,N' - diethyl-1,2-ethanediamine (QEED) have been prepared with the metal ions Zn(II), Cu(II), Ni(II), Co(II) and Mn(II). The novel bis (bidenate) ligand was synthesized by condensation of 5-chlorometyl-8-hydroxyquinoline hydrochloride with N,N'-diethyl-1,2 ethaanediamne in the presence of a base catalyses. All of these coordination polymers and the parent ligand were characterized by elemental analyses and IR spectra and diffuse reflectance spectral studies. The thermal stability and number-average molecular weight (Mn) of all of the coordination polyerms were determined by Theromgravimetric analyses and non-aquous conductrometric titrations, respectively in addition, all of the coordination polymers have been characterized by their magnetic suspectiblities.

Crystallization studies are carried out under non isothernal conditions with samples heated at several unifrom rates. Variations in two important parameters namely glass transition temperature Tg and glass forming ability Kg1 have been studied with variation in Bi content various heating rates. Analyzing the results that with increaes in Bi content, the glass forming ability Kg1 also decreases has been it. The activation energy plays a dominant role in deciding the utility of the materials for the specific purpose-here storage. From the heating rate dependence of Tg. The activation energy E1 for glass transition has been evaluated. This analysis helps in finding the suitabiity of an alloy to be used in phase transition optical memories/switches.

Various Schiff bases(3a-e) were prepared by condensation reaction of 8-hydroxy-5-quinoline carboxaldeyde1 and different subsititured acids (2a-e). The schiff bases (3a-e) were then reacted with acetic anhydride in sodium acetate and yielded 4-8(-hydroxy quiolinden-5-)-2-substituted phenyl oxazolone. All the oxazolone derivatives were characterized by elemental analysis, spectral studies and antimicrobial activities. One of the oxazolone (4b) was then treated with transition metal salts and yiled the metal chelates. All the metal chelates of 4b were characterized by metal; lignad (M:L) ratio, magnetic moment, reflectance spectra and anti-microbial activities.

Non-isothermal kinetics of solid-state decomposition of polybisphenol-A-carbonate [PC; Mn; 1,5 - 3.68 ? 104) and polymethyl metacrylate (PMMA Mn : 1.55 - 3.52 ? 104] has been investigated under nitrogen atmosphere in view study the effect of molecular on their themal decompositions in solid state. Thermal data deduced through simulthanous thermo gravimetric differential thermal analysis-differental thermo gravimetry [TG-DTA-DTG] was used for calculations of thermodynanmic paramerters through Horowiz-Metzger and coats-Redfern methods, kinetics and mechnaism of degradations of each polymer at different molecular masses-[PC] showed two step decompoisition in general.Horowiz-Metzger, coats-Redfern methods have shown greater values of energy of activations than coats-redfern methods for [PC] backbone porvidee a wide difference in fluency factor but almost same entropy change in most of the cases. Thermodynamic and kinetics data were mostly satisfied for first entropy change in most of the cases. Thermodynamic and kinetics data were mostly satisfied for first order and zero kinetics in case of [PC] whereas were not satisfactory for [PMMA]

Isoniazid, an antitubercular drug forms 2:1 with Co and Mn as indicated by conductometric titrations and further verified by job's method of continous variation as modified by Turner and Anderson. Analytical results are also in favour of 2:1 ratio between ligand and metal. Complexes of isoniazid were sytnhesized with Co and Mn, isolated in pure form, dried and weighed. The general strucutre assigned to these complexes is supported by I.R. sepectral bands
