Material Science Research India is an international, Open Access and peer-reviewed journal, which was started in 2004 under publication “Oriental scientific publishing company” with the motive to provide a forum for worldwide scientific researchers and academicians to share findings on all aspects of Materials Science & Engineering and to disseminate innovative, relevant and useful information throughout the scientific horizon. It also aims to share research all over the world to promote and discuss various new issues and developments in different areas of materials science engineering.

Materials science and engineering is the design and discovery of new materials, particularly solids. Materials science is a discipline hybridizing metallurgy, ceramics, solid-state physics, and chemistry. It is the first example of a new academic discipline emerging by fusion rather than fission. The field has since broadened to include every class of materials, including ceramics, polymers, semiconductors, magnetic materials, medical implant materials, biological materials, and nanomaterial, with modern materials classed within 3 distinct groups: Ceramic, Metal or Polymer. Materials science has driven and been driven by, the development of revolutionary technologies such as rubbers, plastics, semiconductors, and biomaterials. The publication frequency of the journal is three-time per year i.e. in the month of April, August and December.

The journal’s publication criteria are based on high ethical standards; we follow best practice in the ethics of scholarly publishing under the guidelines of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics). All articles are published under a Creative Commons license: Attribution 4.0 International (CC-BY) guaranteeing that authors retain the copyrights of their work and can freely use, reuse and share their articles. All articles published by MSRI are freely accessible to everyone in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.

The journal is having a team of eminent Editors who are covering all the geographical areas. A reviewer’s panel possesses esteemed reviewers of their area of expertise. All ethical and publication policies are followed by MSRI. All the articles publish undergo a strong double-blind review policy and screened by Editors before publication.
