    Terms of Submission

    While submitting your manuscripts you must ensure that:

    • The manuscript is being considered only if it has not been published anywhere previously and should not be currently under consideration for publication by another journal.
    • All the co-authors have given approval for the publication of manuscript.
    • The relevant institution has approved the submission, if required.
    • The authors permit editing of the paper for readability.

    Acknowledgements

    Please acknowledge anyone who made significant contribution towards the article and it should be given after the text and not in the form of foot-notes. It is the responsibility of authors to ensure that anyone named in the Acknowledgments agrees to be named. Funding sources should not be included in the Acknowledgment section.

    Conflict of interest

    All financial and non-financial competing interests must be declared in this section. In cases where no conflicts of interests exist, authors should state that “The author(s) declare(s) that there is no conflict of interests regarding the publication of this article”. Otherwise, they should mention any conflict of interest in this section of the manuscript.

    Funding Source

    All sources of funding for the research reported should be declared. The role of the funding body in the design of the study, analysis, and interpretation of data while writing the manuscript should be declared.  If no fund provided then “The author(s) declare(s) that the funding is done by author only.

    Proofs
    The formatted galley proof will be sent to corresponding authors only and should be returned within 2-3 days of receipt. It is the responsibility of the corresponding authors to consult the other authors for corrections and proof reading. All the corrections in the proof should be sent to editor highlighted along with the remarks within specified time.

    Submission of Revised Manuscripts

    When revising manuscript and responding to reviewer comments, author must keep in mind the following points:

    • Address all points raised by the editor and reviewers separately.
    • Describe the revisions to your manuscript in your author response form.
    • Perform any additional experiments or analyses the reviewers recommend (unless you feel that they would not make your paper better; if this is the case, explain why in your response form)
    • Provide a polite and scientific disapproval to any points or comments you disagree with.
    • Differentiate between reviewer comments and your responses in your form.
    • Clearly highlight the major revisions in the text, either with a different color or with Microsoft Word’s Track Changes feature.
    • Return the revised manuscript along with author response form, within the specified time period by the journal.

    Article Processing Charges

    What is APC and Why to pay APC?

    All the articles in MSRI are open access, freely available, published and distributed under Creative Commons Attribution-Non Commercial-Share Alike 4.0 International License. As per the open access policy all the scientific content published is accessible without any restriction or charges by readers. In order to support open access initiative APC is impose for manuscript submission instead of charging any fee to the users to read the published content. We do not imply any submission charges but applies only processing charges.

    The readers from the world are allowed unrestricted access to full articles. No charges are imposing to the readers for reading and downloading articles. By allowing articles access open the citations can be increases which increases its importance in scientific literature. If the articles are subscription based then the authors will look for free access article which will impact some of the good articles that are not being cited due to subscription fee. Thus APC is taken for production cost of the journal, for hosting website, publishing article online and preparing PDFs.

    Waivers on APC

    Material Science Research India Journal aims to encourage and enable authors from all countries to share their scientific knowledge with others and learn from others. To remove financial constraints as a barrier for sharing and learning especially for authors from low and lower-middle income economies, MSRI has formulated some relaxation in Article Publication Charges.     How to pay APC

    You can pay APC through NEFT or online banking. The details of the payment will be provided after your article been accepted for publication.

    All articles published in this journal become the property of the Journal and should not be published or reproduced in any form in full or in part without the written permission of the Editor.

    Reviewers

    Authors are required to suggest information of atleast three qualified reviewers who have expertise in the area of the manuscript related subject, along with their affiliations and contact details. A list of referees can be submitted in separate word file.

    Refund policy

    Once the paper is accepted for publication and the payment is provided by the author. No refund will be granted due to any reason whatsoever. Refund can only be provided if the journal failed to publish the article due to some unavoidable circumstances. This refund will exclude the banking processing charges.

    Article withdrawal

    When the request for withdrawal of manuscript made it may cause the time waste of the editors, reviewers, and the editorial staff. To withdraw an Article, a formal request has to be made by Corresponding Author through email. Articles which have not been published yet but represent early versions of articles, are discovered to be accidental duplicates of other published article(s), or are determined to violate our journal publishing ethics guidelines in the view of the editors may be “Withdrawn” from our  Journal. On Article is withdrawal from Journal, a penalty will be imposed. If the withdrawal is within the 10 days of submission, the author is allowed to withdraw the manuscript without paying any withdrawal fee, however, if authors withdraw manuscripts any time after review and acceptance, a withdrawal fee will have to be paid. For India Rs. 500/- for Other countries $20

    A penalty will be imposed even if the Article is allowed to be withdrawn after its publication from Journal and the APC which has been paid for this Article shall also not be refunded.

    Chemical terminology -The chemical nomenclature used must be in accordance with that used in the Chemical Abstracts.

    Symbols and abbreviations -Unless specified otherwise, all temperatures are understood to be in degrees centigrade and need not be followed by the letter ‘C’. Abbreviations should be those well known in scientific literature. In vitro, in vivo, in situ, ex vivo, ad libitum, et al. and so on are two words each and should be written in italics. None of the above is a hyphenated word. All foreign language (other than English) names and words shall be in italics as a general rule. Words such as carrageenan-induced inflammation, paracetamol-induced hepatotoxicity, isoproterenol-induced myocardial necrosis, dose-dependent manner are all hyphenated.

    Biological nomenclature – Names of plants, animals and bacteria should be in italics.

    Spelling – These should be as in the Concise Oxford Dictionary of Current English.
