Gliquidone (Glurenorm) is chemically I-Cyclohexyl-3-4- (2-(3,4-dilhydro-7-methoxy-4, 4-dimethyl-1, 3-dixo-2 (I-H)- Isoquinoly) ethyl benzene sulphenyl urea, an oral antidiabetic agent, forms 2:1 complex with zinc acetate in alcoholic medium. The present study describes the synthesis, analysis and composition of gliquidane Zn complex.
